Dozzell Banned - Ipswich Town News
Former Town star Jason Dozzell was banned from driving for a year, fined £1,000 and ordered to pay costs of £55 after admitting failing to provide police with a specimen, at Ipswich magistrates' court yesterday.
Dozzell, currently manager of Ipswich Wanderers, was stopped driving a friend's BMW after their game on September 4th.
The former Spurs, Northampton and Colchester midfielder felt at the time that he was OK to drive despite a couple of drinks but was stopped by the police. After a breath tester failed to work, Dozzell refused to give a sample.
The ex-England U21 international said he very much regretted and was sorry for his error of judgement: "It's an easy mistake to make but one which could end you up in a lot of trouble.
"It's a massive mistake and for people who are looking at me it's a mistake they shouldn't make themselves."
