Bart Joins Cypriots - Ipswich Town News
Former Town midfielder Chris Bart-Williams has joined Cypriot side Apoel Nicosia on a two-year contract. Bart-Williams joined the Blues just before Christmas after a successful loan spell but injuries blighted the remainder of his stay at Portman Road and he was released in the summer.
The former England U21 said: "This is a great opportunity for me and I want to help Apoel become the first Cypriot club to reach the group stages of the Champions League."
Harris Fotiou, a spokesperson for Apoel, says the capture of Bart-Williams is a landmark: "This is the biggest ever signing for the club and we hope Chris can help us achieve our dream of reaching the group stages of the Champions League."
