U18s Draw With Chelsea - Ipswich Town News
Town's U18s drew 0-0 with Chelsea's youngsters at Playford Road on Saturday morning.
Once again involved for the Blues was ex-Chelsea Academy player Lubo Guentchev, son of Town's Bontcho. The 18-year-old striker is close to the end of a six-week trial with the Blues.
Another son of a famous footballing father was also with the Academy last week, Charlie Sheringham, son of Teddy. He spent a couple of days at the club but is not being offered anything.
England U19 coach Martin Hunter took a few Academy training sessions this week. Town striker Dean Bowditch is a member of Hunter's U19 squad.
