Reserves Face Foxes - Ipswich Town News

Striker Pablo Couñago is the only senior player in the reserves squad facing Leicester City at Kettering Town's Rockingham Road on Wednesday night (KO 7pm). Other than the Spaniard, only Scott Mitchell, Scott Barron, Antonio Murray and Aidan Collins have even the smallest amount of first team experience.

In goal is Irish youngster Shane Supple who has impressed boss Joe Royle this season and looks another hot prospect.

Owen Garvan, another young Irishman, has impressed in midfield for the Academy, while Northern Irish U16 international defender Chris Casement has made swift progress into the reserves since joining the Academy full-time.

A third Republic of Ireland player, U19 international striker Billy Clarke, will hope to continue his prolific run of goals alongside Couñago, while trialist Lubo Guentchev, like his father a frontman, will be seeking to win himself a permanent place in Town's youth set up.

Reserves: Shane Supple, Michael Synnott, Scott Barron, Scott Mitchell, Jerrome Sobers, Aidan Collins, Daniel Flack, Antonio Murray, Pablo Couñago, Billy Clarke, Liam Craig, Owen Garvan, Lubo Guentchev, Chris Casement, Blair Hammond and Fraser Beveridge.
