Joe on Strikers - Ipswich Town News
Town boss Joe Royle has told his strikers to go out and cement first team places for themselves. Royle feels that a regular strike partnership is yet to emerge this season.
The Town manager said: "We have still not found the front pairing that we know will be our best. I want the players to be telling me 'hey, it's got to be us every week'."
Currently Finnish international Shefki Kuqi is Town's top scorer on five goals. He and Darren Bent, who has scored three goals for the Blues, have generally been Royle's first choice this season. Dean Bowditch also has three, while Pablo Couñago has netted twice.
