Reserves Draw With Saints - Ipswich Town News
Town's young reserve side drew 0-0 with Southampton at Portman Road on Monday night. Young Irish keeper Shane Supple made a number of good saves despite playing with a broken toe.
Supple was unavailable for first team bench duty at the weekend due to the injury but recovered sufficiently to play for the reserves, although goalkeeper coach Andy Rhodes was amongst the subs and ready to take to the field if necessary.
Midfielder Antonio Murray came close to winning the game for Town in the second half when he hit the woodwork.
Despite a positive performance, Town's second string remain bottom of the league without a win this season.
