Magilton Declared Fit - Ipswich Town News
Skipper Jim Magilton has been declared fit ahead of Saturday's home game with Preston North End. Magilton had been suffering with a knee strain.
Boss Joe Royle told the club site that the Northern Irishman will be in his squad: "Jim trained this morning and he looks fine.
"He has been troubled by a sore knee during the week but it's improved and he's in the squad for the Preston game."
Royle says he rested Magilton at Watford last week due to a hectic fixture schedule: "Jim's a big player for us but that would have been his third game in a week and he needed a rest."
Kelvin Davis will again be missing against Preston but Royle says he isn't too far from a return: "Kelvin trained well this morning and that was a step forward for him.
"We will have another look at him at the start of next week but he may have a chance of playing for the reserves on Wednesday."
