Worthington Watches - Ipswich Town News

Norwich City boss Nigel Worthington watched Town's comfortable 3-0 victory over Preston at Portman Road on Saturday. With Norwich bottom of the Permiership and still without a win, there is speculation he may have been keeping an eye on one of Town's strikers.

England U21 Darren Bent is currently the hottest property amongst the Town frontmen but the Blues have already seen off a £3 million bid from Charlton and were reported to have priced him at £5 million.

Dean Bowditch is keen to continue his career at Town in the short-term at least, while the Blues are keen to rid themselves of Pablo Couñago's large wage. The Spaniard was made available on a free transfer in the summer.

Finnish international Shefki Kuqi was also made available on a free transfer in the summer when there was interest from Hansa Rostock and a South Korean side.
