Canadian trialist Sandro Grande has returned home after his week-long spell with the Blues. Town boss Joe Royle says the midfielder could return for a subsequent trial spell.
Royle told the club site: "Sandro has done well while he has been here but we have not been given permission to play him in reserve team games.
"So he will be going back next week and we will wait until the transfer window comes around in January and see what develops from there.
"I will talk to his agent before then but we wouldn't make a decision without having here back here for another week or two and be in a position to see him in match action."
Grande, who spent time with Serie A side Brescia, won the US A-League with the Montreal Impact last season and recently made his debut for the Canada national side.
