£10m Tag on Bent?! - Ipswich Town News
Joe Royle has said that Darren Bent will be staying with Ipswich unless Town receive a 'silly bid' to prise him away from Portman Road. The club have already turned down a £3m offer from Charlton and will take a larger bid to succeed.
Talking to the club site Joe said: "We are not flush with money, we are not out of the danger yet but we are getting better all the time and certainly gates likes the 30,000 we had for the Leeds game help.
"I am not going to say that if someone comes in and bids £10m for Darren then we will have any choice in the matter because there are other people to consider.
"But unless it's a silly bid, Darren will be staying with us. It's as simple as that."
