Town Made Derry Move? - Ipswich Town News
Leeds boss Kevin Blackwell says his club beat Town and Nottingham Forest to the signature of Crystal Palace midfielder Shaun Derry. The 26-year-old is expected to sign a £250,000 deal tomorrow.
Blackwell said he was pleased to capture Derry, who he knows from their time together at Sheffield United: "I know he will give everything for us, which is why I'm pleased we have beaten off good competition in Ipswich and Nottingham Forest to sign him."
With cash short at Portman Road, it is likely any move for Derry would have been a short-term loan.
