Date Set for FA Youth Cup - Ipswich Town News
Town's youngsters will face Portsmouth at Portman Road in the third round of the FA Youth Cup on Monday, December 13th (KO 7pm). The draw was made last week but the date has only now been set.
The U18 game means that the scheduled reserve match against Chelsea has been postponed.
Last season the Blues beat Leeds at Elland Road after extra-time in round three before being defeated 2-1 by Sunderland in round four at a snowy Portman Road.
Central defender Aidan Collins and frontman Darryl Knights are the only players with first team experience eligible to play in this season's competition, although Shane Supple, a regular substitute at senior level, will probably be in goal.
Irish striker Billy Clarke, who has made a great deal of progress this season, is also likely to be involved.
Tickets are £3 for adults and £1 for children.
