Convey Arrives - Ipswich Town News

American winger Bobby Convey is expected to arrive today with Town. The 17-year-old DC United player is one of the US's most promising youngsters and he has just returned from a tour of Mexico with his club.

The player, capped at full level last October, will spend a period of time training with Town before returning to Washington for the January Confederations Cup. DC United and nine other clubs will be competing to qualify for the World Club Championship in Spain.

Convey was praised by both Bobby Robson and Alan Shearer when Newcastle played DC United in a tour match last summer.

We have heard nothing on whether Antonio Otero, the other American rumoured to be on his way, is coming to Town after all.
