More Scowy Rumours - Ipswich Town News

Newspaper reports today are resuscitating the Scowcroft to Leicester rumour from last month. In a new twist this story is now being partnered by the Neil Lennon to Celtic link which has dragged on ever since Martin O'Neill jumped ship to Parkhead. Doesn't sound like there is too much real in it.

George Burley has confirmed that Simon Hunt is Town's new european scout. The Town manager said: "He will continue to live in Sweden and be answerable to myself and cheif scout Colin Suggett."

It has been confirmed that Antonio Otero has travelled to Portman Road with fellow American Bobby Convey. Both have been sent to train with Town by Frank Yallop's DC United. Yallop is also briefly returning to Britain in the next few days and will meet with George Burley.

David James has been named as the England keeper for tomorrow's game with Italy. Richard Wright is on the bench. Former Town man Kieron Dyer starts.

Mauricio Taricco is in action tonight for Spurs reserves against Town (St Albans 7pm). Town squad: Mike Salmon, Gary Croft, Amir Karic, Justin Miller, John Scales, Manuel Thetis, Martijn Reuser, Ashley Nicholls, Richard Logan, Neil Midgley, Sean Friars, Nabil Abidallah, Tomi Niemi, Darren Ambrose, William Snowdon and Darren Bent.
