No Bon Jovi Gig - Ipswich Town News
Town's planned third concert of the 2005 summer is now unlikely to take place. American rockers Bon Jovi were to be the band involved but they are now not planning to tour during 2005.
The club have confirmed concerts by Neil Diamond and REM on May 26th and July 8th respectively, and were in negotiations with the third act, which TWTD revealed to be Bon Jovi.
However, the eighties band have postponed their European tour plans until the summer of 2006, when they may play a concert at Portman Road after all.
Town could look for another act to fill the third date with a final decision being made at the end of January, but it does appear that Portman Road will host only two gigs in the summer.
Town say tickets are selling well with 18,000 sold for REM and 13,500 for Neil Diamond.
