Juan Perfect Day - Ipswich Town News
Monegasque trialist Jimmy Juan was impressed with his first day's training with the Town squad. The Monaco player is on trial with the Blues for a week.
Juan told the club site that the Town squad has made him welcome: "The players helped me settle in and I really enjoyed the training.
"But I was surprised how hard and fast the players trained. It is not the same in France where we work with the ball all the time and it's more relaxed.
"The facilities here are great as well with many more pitches available than we have at Monaco."
The 6ft tall central midfielder has spent his entire career with his local club after coming through their youth system, but has made very few senior appearances.
In 2002/03 he made two, a season later just one, although he was on the bench on a number of occasions during their run to the Champions League final.
This season Juan has played four games, all as a substitute, three in Le Championnat and one in the Champions League against Liverpool at Anfield.
Town are also trialing Paraguayan central defender Ãngel MartÃnez this week. The 21-year-old is out of contract since the recent end of the Paraguayan season, during which he played for Tacuary.
