Knights Called Up - Ipswich Town News
Academy striker Darryl Knights has been called up to the England U17 squad for a mini-tournament in the Algarve later this month. The games are part of the build-up for UEFA U17 Championships qualifiers which take place in March.
England face France, Norway and Portugal in the Algarve Tournament which starts on January 25th.
The March qualification process sees England play three games in five days when they take on Serbia and Montenegro, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland for the prize of a place in the finals in Italy.
Knights, 16, made his senior Town debut as a sub in the 2-0 defeat at Sunderland in November. The striker or midfielder has already won four caps at U17 level.
