Wright's Flight No Delight - Ipswich Town News
Richard Wright was amongst several England players whose return flight from Italy arrived back at 5am this morning - just hours before he was due to start training with the Blues.
The flight first landed at Manchester and dropped off the northern-based players and stopped for an hour. Then it was on to Luton with the southern-based players: Wright, Darren Anderton, Ray Parlour, Rio Ferdinand and Frank Lampard. Apparently one of these players' clubs has complained to the FA about the late arrival of the players and has suggested different arrangements are made in future. Given that our game isn't 'til Monday I doubt it was us.
The FA likes all players to travel to games together as they believe that it helps team spirit.
