Cov Abandon New Badge - Ipswich Town News
Coventry City have abandoned unpopular plans to introduce a new badge. Sky Blue supporters planned to demonstrate against the imposition of the new insignia ahead of today's match at Portman Road.
Chairman Mike McGinnity says that the club have taken supporters' opinions into consideration: "I wish to make it clear that the board has listened carefully to what the fans have said regarding the proposed change.
"At my recommendation, the board has decided to retain the existing badge and not introduce the new crest."
Coventry fans planned to show their dissent by holding up posters of the old badge five minutes ahead of today's kick-off.
