Wrexham Thank Town Fans - Ipswich Town News
Wrexham have thanked Town supporters who attended Saturday's Fans United game at the Racecourse Ground. More than 6,000 fans watched the 0-0 draw between the Robins and Doncaster Rovers.
Club spokesman Geraint Parry said: "Fans travelled from as far afield as Plymouth, Sunderland and Ipswich to be present on what was a great day for us.
"It proved once again that people really do care about clubs other than their own and that the small clubs are worth just as much to their local communities as the Premiership giants. Thanks to all those who attended."
Wrexham's future now looks to be more secure with Surrey businessman Andy Smith expected to buy current owner and property developer Alex Hamilton's 78% stake in the club.
