McDonald Set to Sign - Ipswich Town News
Boss Joe Royle says that he expects trialist Dean McDonald to sign a short-term deal with the club. McDonald is currently weighing-up the offer to join the Blues for the rest of the season.
Royle told the club site: "Dean is discussing the contract with his father and agent but he's happy with it.
"His agent is as well, so he should be joining us. It's basically a five-month paid trial for the lad."
McDonald came to Portman Road on trial late last year and has played a number of U18 and reserve games.
Released by Arsenal last summer, the striker or midfield player has previously had trials with Fulham, Wycombe and Boston.
