U18s Win Derby - Ipswich Town News
Town's U18s beat their counterparts from Norwich 1-0 after a goal from one-time Canary trialist Danny Haynes just four minutes into the match. Haynes also scored the Town goal in the 1-1 draw between the two sides earlier in the season.
The Blues were lucky to remain in front after a first half goalmouth scramble and just before the break a Town defender had to help out keeper Shane Supple after he had been lobbed by Andrew Cave-Brown.
Norwich keeper Shane Herbert had to make a good save from Cathal Lordan, and Town held on for all three points.
Robert Eagle, with the Town's U17s two seasons ago, was in the Norwich line-up.
