Bent a Doubt - Ipswich Town News
Striker Darren Bent is considered a doubt ahead of Saturday's home game with Leicester City. Town's joint-top scorer limped off late on in the 2-0 win at Sheffield United last weekend.
Manager Joe Royle says the striker, who was forced to pull out of this week's England U21 squad, could be back in training tomorrow: "Darren is hoping to train tomorrow but at the moment he is still limping.
"His knee has been tweaked from the impact of the blow and he has stud marks and swelling.
"Of course, I would like him to be fit. He and Shefki have done well together and I would ideally like to face Leicester with my strike force unchanged."
If Bent fails to make it, Dean Bowditch will come into the side. Royle will hope the youngster returns from tonight's England U19 game without an injury. Bowditch is expected to play 45 minutes in Belgium.
