Game Set to Go Ahead - Ipswich Town News
Town expect tonight's game with Watford to go ahead as planned with little snow having fallen in Ipswich today. Groundsman Alan Ferguson has had the pitch covered for the past couple of days and unless the weather seriously deteriorates this afternoon there is no possibility of postponement.
Ferguson told the club site: "We have had the cover on for a few days and kept a 24-hour watch on the pitch and there are no problems.
"The snow that fell over the weekend wasn't that heavy and hasn't caused us any real trouble.
"We have been tracking the weather through a satellite system and the forecast is that it won't drop below zero temperatures until after midnight, which allows us time to get the cover back on and protect the pitch for the QPR game after the final whistle tonight."
