Virus Hits Wigan - Ipswich Town News
Wigan have been hit by a flu virus only days before the vital top of the Championship clash with Town at the JJB Stadium. Six players are reported to have been struck down with the illness.
Strikers Jason Roberts and Nathan Ellington are amongst those under the weather with midfielders Gary Teale, Jimmy Bullard and former Blue Alan Mahon also unwell. Mahon also has a knee injury and would have been a big doubt even prior to contracting the bug.
Paul Jewell had only 10 senior players involved in training this morning due to the illness and several other members of his squad having played for the reserves last night.
