Boss Joe Royle plans to continue his legal battle with Manchester City over compensation he feels is owed to him after his sacking from his position of manager at Maine Road in May 2001. The Appeal Court ruled in favour of the club this morning but Royle has vowed to fight on.
The Town manager said: "I am pleased the behaviour of the club has been criticised [by the court]. When I was given the money after the earlier case City suggested it go to charity, so I assume they will adhere to their own suggestion.
"I don't want to become embroiled in a war of words, and the final line is this is going to the House of Lords. I don't have any regrets about the way this has gone, because the legal system is there to be used."
