Bowditch Joins Burnley - Ipswich Town News
Striker Dean Bowditch has joined Burnley on a month's loan. The England U19 international has been largely out of the first team this season and the move is designed to give him more senior experience.
Boss Joe Royle told the club site: "Dean needs first team football to take him on to the next level and he has not been getting much of that here lately.
"Oldham came in for him and we were happy for him to join them, but he wasn't too keen because he didn't want to drop down a division.
"Now Burnley have approached us and Dean will be joining them for a month.
"He spoke to me about going out on loan a while back and I agreed that it would be a good move for him if the right club came along. We all hope he does well at Burnley and gets a few goals.
"That's what he needs now - first team experience and a couple of goals to his name."
Bowditch, 18, signed a new contract in January which will keep him with the Blues until June 2008.
