Price in Full Wales Squad - Ipswich Town News

Second-choice keeper Lewis Price has been called into the full Wales squad for their two World Cup qualifiers with Austria later this month. It's the first time Price has received a senior call, although he once trained with the senior side after an injury to one of their keepers.

Price has won five caps at U21 level and has impressed senior manager John Toshack during those games.

The 20-year-old, who spent time on loan at Cambridge United earlier in the season, is likely to be on the bench with Burnley's Danny Coyne currently the number one and Paul Jones from Wolves also included.

Wales play Austria in Cardiff on March 26th and then in Vienna on March 30th.

Previous Town players to have been capped at full level by Wales include Les Tibbott and Geraint Williams.

Wales: Coyne (Burnley), Jones (Wolves), Price (Ipswich), Delaney (Aston Villa), J Collins (Cardiff), D Collins (Sunderland), Page (Cardiff), Gabbidon (Cardiff), Edwards (Wolves), Partridge (Motherwell), Ricketts (Swansea), Roberts (Tranmere), Davies (Tottenham), Fletcher (West Ham), Williams (West Ham), Koumas (West Brom), Earnshaw (West Brom), Giggs (Man Utd), Robinson (Sunderland), Bellamy (Newcastle (loan to Celtic)), Hartson (Celtic).
