Magilton Declared Fit - Ipswich Town News

Skipper Jim Magilton has been declared fit and has travelled to Gillingham with the rest of Town's 17-man squad this afternoon. Magilton tore a calf muscle in the 6-0 win against Nottingham Forest and missed the midweek victory at Cardiff.

Boss Joe Royle said: "Jim has trained today without any problems and he's travelling with the squad.

"He's had no ill effects from his work-out and will be in contention for a place in the side."

Royle will have to decide whether to bring Magilton back into the side or stick with Darern Currie who has impressed in his place.

French loanee Jimmy Juan has also travelled as cover for the club captain.

Squad: Davis, Price, Wilnis, Richards, De Vos, Naylor, Unsworth, Magilton, Miller, Westlake, Currie, Horlock, Juan, Bent, Kuqi, Scowcroft, Couñago.
