Reserves Face Hammers - Ipswich Town News
Town's reserves take on West Ham at Portman Road this evening (KO 7pm). The Hammers are one of only two sides the second string have defeated in the FA Premier Reserve League (South) this season.
The game is likely to see French loanee Jimmy Juan get another game under his belt after his recent foot injury. Central defender Gerard Nash is another player on the way back after injury, the Irishman having suffered undergone knee surgery earlier in the season. Guinean international defender Drissa Diallo is unlikely to be in contention for tomight's game.
Striker Pablo Couñago is in line for a run-out, while much of the rest of the side will be made up of members of Town's FA Youth Cup semi-finalist U18 squad.
Steve McCall's men are in action again on Saturday afternoon, against Derby, also at Portman Road (KO 1pm).
The reserves are at Portman Road once more next Wednesday when the take on Tottenham Hotspur (KO 7pm). The sudden flood of home reserve fixtures is due to several games being postponed over the last month or so.
