Bowditch Wins Cap - Ipswich Town News
On-loan striker Dean Bowditch won his ninth cap at U19 level as England beat Denmark 1-0 at Crewe's Gresty Road. Bowditch was in the starting line-up as England began their campaign at the UEFA European U19 Championship second qualifying round tournament.
Derby's Lee Holmes volleyed home the game's winner in the 26th minute but England probably ought to have won more comfortably.
England now take on Sweden at Bury on Monday, before completing their fixtures with a match against Moldova at Blackpool on Wednesday. The team finishing top of the group will go through to this summer's finals.
