Some reports are claiming Town are about to step up their operations down under. A number of sources are suggesting that Town are among a number of clubs about to have discussions with Eric Thompson regarding a possible coaching link. Thompson is an ex-Hearts and Aberdeen player who has been in Australia for 27 years. He has also been manager of the Australian national side.
We're not sure whether there is actually anything in it especially as Newcastle, Peterborough, Crewe Alexandra and Carlisle are also mentioned in connection with Thompson.
