Armstrong Linked - Ipswich Town News
Stories this morning are linking Town with a surprise move for Middlesbrough striker Alun Armstrong. Apparently sources on Teeside claim that a deal is imminent between the two clubs with the 25-year-old former Stockport striker likely to join Town as soon as today.
We've a bit sceptical about this as George Burley has shown little interest in purchasing strikers so far this season. Indeed he has been unable to find regular places for his existing four front-line strikers and another one, presumably costing a fair whack, seems unlikely. More as and when we hear it.
