Klug: Draw Fair - Ipswich Town News
Town academy director Bryan Klug felt a 2-2 draw was a fair result from Monday's FA Youth Cup final first leg with Southampton at the St Mary's Stadium.
Klug told the club site: "I felt we were very unlucky to go in at the break behind with Southampton scoring in the last seconds. It was an evenly balanced game and we thoroughly deserved a draw in the end.
"The boys worked hard and played some good football in what was an exciting match and an excellent advert for youth team football.
"We're happy with the result and, just as importantly, the performance and it sets up the second leg nicely."
