Davis to Miss Leeds? - Ipswich Town News
Keeper Kelvin Davis may miss Town's game at Leeds on Saturday as his wife is close to giving birth, according to a report. Davis plans to travel to West Yorkshire with the Blues but may return home to Bury St Edmunds if needed at wife Kelly's bedside.
Davis says he wants to be there when his second child comes into the world: "It is a major decision but I don't want to miss the birth of the little one.
"As much as football is important to me, this is a life and my family we are talking about and it is not to be taken lightly.
"My dad is on red alert to go round and I will be taking a car with me to Leeds just in case I need to come back quickly."
Should Davis be forced into a dash back to Bury, Lewis Price will take over between the sticks with Shane Supple likely to be called onto the bench less than 24 hours after FA Youth Cup final against Southampton.
