Garvan in Hospital - Ipswich Town News
Academy midfielder Owen Garvan missed last night's FA Youth Cup victory having been admitted to hospital with suspected meningitis earlier in the day. The Irishman had been suffering with flu symptoms but after his temperature rose was taken to Ipswich Hospital for tests.
These showed that the Dubliner has a viral infection. His condition is described as much improved.
Garvan, 17, was a key member of the U18 side and played the full 90 minutes in the first leg of the final against Southamton which ended 2-2.
