Kuqi Player of the Year - Ipswich Town News

Striker Shefki Kuqi has as expected been confirmed as the Supporters' Club Player of the Year for 2004/05. Kuqi netted 45% of the 10,801 votes, ahead of Kelvin Davis and Richard Naylor in second and third.

Boss Joe Royle wasn't arguing with the result: "You could make a case for any of the top three.

"Richard nas improved in a new position, while Kelvin has had an outstanding season and has been recognised by his peers in being named in the PFA Championship select side.

"But I don't thnk you could argue with Shefki coming out on top. He has given his all for the club this season."

The 17-goal striker will receive the award prior to Saturday's home game with Crewe Alexandra.
