Clarke Out For Season - Ipswich Town News
Academy striker Billy Clarke will be out of action until next season. The Irish U19 international sustained medial knee ligament damage in the second leg of the FA Youth Cup semi-final at Spurs.
Clarke, who was forced to miss both legs of the final against Southampton, told the club site: "I've had some tests and scans over the last few days but football is over for me now until next season.
"I was disappointed to miss the final but the boys did the club proud and it was nice to join in with the celebrations."
Clarke threw down his crutches after the final whistle last Friday and ran from the sidelines to join in with the on-pitch festivities.
