Reserves Side for Derby - Ipswich Town News

FA Youth Cup final hero Shane Supple will be between the sticks for the reserves when they take on Norwich at Carrow Road this evening (KO 7.30pm). James Scowcroft, Matt Richards, Drissa Diallo and Jimmy Juan are the senior players included in Steve McCall's side.

Supple isn't the only member of Friday's trophy winners named in the team, central defensive linchpins Chris Casement and Aidan Collins also feature, along with skipper Liam Craig and frontman Darryl Knights.

The bench is made up of four other players from the U18 squad, Liam Trotter, Sammy Moore, Cathal Lordan and Danny Haynes. Town have not named a substitute goalkeeper.

In midfield, Liam Manning will want to impress any watching scouts after being told he will not be offered a new deal at the end of the season.

Former Arsenal trainee Dean McDonald, on a short-term contract at present, will hope to do enough before the end of the season to win a longer deal at Portman Road.

Reserves captain Scott Mitchell is out recovering with an injury as is Irish centre-half Gerard Nash. Scott Barron is out for the season after a second groin operation.

The reserves have one more game after tonight's match, away at Southampton next Tuesday. Steve McCall's side are currently bottom of the FA Premier Reserve League (South) but are only one point behind Portsmouth.

Town: 1. Shane Supple, 2. Drissa Diallo, 3. Matt Richards, 4. Liam Manning, 5. Chris Casement, 6. Aidan Collins, 7. Dean McDonald, 8. Jimmy Juan, 9. James Scowcroft, 10. Darryl Knights, 11. Liam Craig. Subs: 12. Liam Trotter, 13. Sammy Moore, 14. Cathal Lordan, 15. Danny Haynes.
