De Vos Now Very Doubtful - Ipswich Town News
Canadian central defender Jason De Vos is now considered very doubtful ahead of Town's crunch final day showdown at Brighton. De Vos and defensive partner Richard Naylor have both been struck down by a sickness bug.
Naylor is considered more likely to continue his 100% league appearance record but De Vos now looks as if he may miss his second league game of the season, suspension having kept him out of the match at Wigan.
Boss Joe Royle, who has also been suffering with the virus, has conceded that he may be without the former Canada skipper at the Withdean Stadium: "Jason is really struggling. We haven't even seen him since last weekend and at this stage you would have to say he could miss out."
Naylor's condition is better and he is expected to be OK for Brighton, despite an achilles problem also hampering him this week.
Drissa Diallo is the obvious replacement for De Vos if he does miss out, although Royle could opt for moving David Unsworth into the centre and bringing in Matt Richards at left-back.
