Sobers Scores on Debut - Ipswich Town News

On-loan Town central defender Jerrome Sobers scored on his league debut for Brentford as the Bees defeated Hull City 2-1 at Griffin Park. Sobers joined Martin Allen's side in March until the end of the season, having been told be will not be offered a new deal at Portman Road.

Sobers headed in a corner in the 43rd minute to put the Bees back on terms with the already promoted Tigers.

Manager Allen made a mass of changes with his side confirmed in the play-offs and was pleased with those he drafted in: "I told them in the dressing room, that you wouldn't have known from watching the game as a neutral that those players were making their debuts."

Town's other on-loan player, striker Dean Bowditch, will return to the club now that Burnley's season has ended and will be available for the play-offs. Bowditch made eight starts and two sub appearances while with the Clarets, scoring one goal and picking up one booking.
