Fab OK for Play-Offs - Ipswich Town News

Full-back Fabian Wilnis will be fine for the play-offs despite receiving a nasty gash to the head in Sunday's final league game of the season at Brighton. The Dutchman picked up the injury in a clash of heads with Daniel Harding just before half-time.

Wilnis was clearly dazed and required stitches to the head wound, but physio Dave Williams told the club site that he will be OK to face West Ham at Upton Park on Saturday: "Fabian's been in for treatment and he'll be fine.

"It was a nasty cut and he was clearly dazed but there won't be any problems for the weekend."

Wilnis looks likely to play at left-back against the Hammers with David Unsworth having completed his loan spell after Sunday's match.

Drissa Diallo will come into Wilnis's more regular right-back role as the Blues revert to the back four they used in most of their matches before Christmas.
