Loanee striker James Scowcroft has been told he will not be offered a new deal with Leicester City. The 29-year-old's contract is up at the end of the season and Scowcroft was not expecting to be offered a contract by new manager Craig Levein.
Levein thanked Scowcroft for his contribution to the Foxes' cause: "On behalf of everyone connected with Leicester City Football Club I would like to thank James for his loyal service to the club over the last four years.
"He is a model professional, has contributed greatly to this club and we wish him every success for the future."
Scowcroft joined Leicester from Town for a fee of £3.5 million in the summer of 2001.
