Bent Linked to Birmingham - Ipswich Town News

Reports in the Midlands are linking Birmingham City with a summer move for Town striker Darren Bent. The England U21 international has also recently been mentioned in connection with Charlton, who had a £3 million bid turned down last August, and newly promoted Sunderland.

Bent, whose Town contract ends in the summer of 2006, has said he will probably leave Portman Road this summer if the Blues aren't promoted. If still a Championship club, the Blues will want to cash in on one of their prize assets while he still has a year left on his contract.

Burnley full-back Mo Camara, a Town target earlier in the season, is being linked with a summer switch to Celtic. The Guinean, a good friend of Drissa Diallo, has turned down the chance to remain at Turf Moor.

Ex-Town striker Marcus Stewart is being targeted by QPR, managed by his former Bristol Rovers team-mate Ian Holloway. Bristol City, the club Stewart supported as a boy, are also keen to sign the frontman, with Hull City having denied any interest.

Darlington have released ex-Town winger Bobby Petta.
