Davis to Arsenal? - Ipswich Town News
Keeper Kelvin Davis is a summer target of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, according to a Sunday tabloid report. Davis was named in the Championship Team of the Season and was second to Shefki Kuqi in the Town Player of the Year stakes.
The former Luton and Wimbledon man is clearly very highly rated throughout the game and it would not be a surprise if a Premiership club came in for him if the Blues fail to win the play-offs.
Davis is contracted to Town until the summer of 2006 and the club will expect a substantial fee for their summer 2003 free signing from Wimbledon.
Elsewhere, Town are linked with Reading midfielder Steven Sidwell. Like Davis, Sidwell is regarded as a player well capable of playing in the Premiership and would be very much out of Town's price-rage unless they are promoted.
Former Town midfielder Bobby Petta is reportedly a target of Bradford City having been released by Darlington.
