Murphy Move This Week? - Ipswich Town News
Irish striker Daryl Murphy's stalled transfer to Sunderland will be decided one way or the other this week. The Town target's Eircom League club Waterford United and the Black Cats agreed a fee of €100,000 last month but the move is still yet to be completed.
Murphy, 22, was expected to take a medical at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday and is on Wearside for further talks
Despite the delay, Sunderland still appear to be the favourites to land the former Luton Town trainee.
Town are keen to sign Murphy, however they will not know whether the cash is available until the summer. Aberdeen and latterly Reading are also interested in signing the hottest property in Irish football.
