Town Face Daggers - Ipswich Town News
Town will send a team to take on Dagenham and Redbridge in a pre-season friendly at Victoria Road on Wednesday, 3rd August (KO 7.45pm). The Blues are expected to field a largely reserve side against the Nationwide Conference club.
Back in the Premiership years, Town defeated the Daggers 4-1 away in an FA Cup third round game, the goals coming from Sixto Peralta (2), Jim Magilton and Marcus Stewart.
Town's 2005/06 pre-season programme is gradually coming together. The Brian Owen benefit match at Colchester United has been set for Tuesday, August 2nd, while the Blues will take a first team squad to Boston United for a friendly on Saturday, July 16th.
Lazio are expected at Portman Road at some point for the first of the two friendlies agreed as part of the Matteo Sereni deal.
Town's players will be back at the club for the start of pre-season training on July 4th.
