Joe: No Jeffers Interest - Ipswich Town News

Boss Joe Royle has denied a report last week which suggested the Blues would sign Francis Jeffers from Charlton. The striker was said to be part of a deal which would see Darren Bent move in the opposite direction.

As TWTD suggested at the time, the one-time full England international would be well beyond Town's means. Royle said: "We couldn't afford his wages."
