Thomas Joins Burnley - Ipswich Town News
Reported Town target Wayne Thomas has agreed to join Burnley. The out-of-contract Stoke City defender was also interesting Norwich and Derby.
The 26-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the Clarets.
Burnley boss Steve Cotterill was chuffed to have completed the capture: "I'm delighted - he is a player I have liked for a long time.
"He has good pace, he's strong, has good aerial ability and a good temperament. He could go on to play in the Premiership if he works hard."
Town are one of a number of clubs chasing former Burnley defender Mo Camara. The Guinean international, who turned down a new deal at Turf Moor, confirmed last month that the Blues were interested in him but looked set to join Celtic.
However, Martin O'Neill's Parkhead exit may have scuppered the former Wolves player's move into the SPL.
