Kuqi Wins 36th Cap - Ipswich Town News
Striker Shefki Kuqi won his 36th full international cap as Finland lost 1-0 to Denmark in a home friendly in Tampere. The Town frontman played 79 minutes before being replaced by Mikael Forssell.
FC Copenhagen's Michael Silberbauer, who played against Town for AaB on the club's 2002/03 pre-season tour of Denmark, scored the winning goal in the final minute of the game.
The friendly was arranged to help Finland prepare for next Wednesday's crucial Group One World Cup qualifier against Holland in Helsinki.
Kuqi is currently weighing up whether to remain with the Blues having been offered a new two-year deal. Premiership sides Blackburn, West Ham and Portsmouth have been linked with the out of contract striker.
